Double Degree Economics and Finance (path Financial Economics) LUISS – Economics NOVA
The Master Degree in Economics and Finance (Financial Economics) is a two-years program at LUISS and students will attend courses offered in the first and in the second year of the program. The thesis (work project) is an individual work at LUISS and it is one for both Nova (Directed Research) and LUISS. One thesis supervisor will be a Nova professor and one a LUISS professor. The thesis will be discussed during the official graduation session both at LUISS and at Nova. The thesis worths 20 ECTS at LUISS while the WP (work project) worths 42 ECTS at NOVA.

The NOVA students selected for the Programme, who have completed all the NOVA activities covering LUISS academic activities as reported in the table above, will be required to attend at LUISS the following subjects:
- Mathematical Methods for Economics and finance (8 ECTS)
- Macroeconomic Analysis (8 ECTS)
- Advanced econometrics ( 8 ECTS) – to be confirmed a possible equivalence with the NOVA Microeconometrics course
- Financial Market Law and Regulation (8 ECTS)
- Other activities (4 ECTS)
- Final Thesis/WP (20 ECTS at LUISS)
Please note that in order to cover each 8 ECTS at LUISS a minimum of 7 Nova ECTS are required. Partial covering is not accepted (e.g. students who take at Nova only Game Theory I and do not take Competition Policy will be required to complete the whole Advanced Microeconomics Course).
